Metacognition is a major lifelong skill which is essential for competence stability. The absence of metacognition in the teaching/learning process has been identified as a major cause of teachers’ difficulty in recognizing when they have failed to adequately meet learning goals or complete tasks. A majority of teacher-trainees do not exhibit ability to adapt to unfamiliar context while practising.

The paper focused on management and utilization of ICT resources for effective teaching and learning in vocational schools in Bayelsa State. There are three research questions and three hypotheses formulated to guide the study. Design of the study was descriptive survey. Descriptive survey was employed for the study. The population of the study comprised 346 teachers (227 male and 119 female) in the vocational schools in Bayelsa State while 237 teachers (145 male and 92 female) were drawn as sample for the study using random sampling technique.
The study investigated the relationship between curriculum delivery and security challenges in Nigeria, using Kaduna State as a case study. To actualize this aim, the researcher designed two research questions and two null hypotheses to guide the study. The study was correlational. The population of the study comprised all 1030 teachers in public secondary schools in Kaduna South Local Government Area of Kaduna State. Using Taro Yamen Sampling Formula, a sample size of 206 respondents made up of 97 male and 109 female teachers was randomly drawn from the total population.
This study’s purpose was to examine the effect of self-regulated learning strategy on Chemistry students’ attitude in senior secondary schools in Delta North Senatorial District. Three research questions and three hypotheses guided the study. The study’s design was quasi-experimental. The study’s population was 5,813 SSII Chemistry students in the 146 public senior secondary schools in Delta North Senatorial District.
The COVID-19 pandemic has left a lasting imprint in our world, and the educational system is not left out in this wave as the teaching and learning process has been grossly affected by the emergence of the pandemic. Thus this study examined the influence of the COVID-19 pandemic on attitude to and achievement in Civic Education among adolescents in Alimosho Local Government, Lagos State. A descriptive survey research design was adopted for this study.
The purpose of this study was to examine the influence of indiscipline on the academic achievement of secondary school students in Umuahia North Local Government Area of Abia State. The study was conducted in the 5 public secondary schools in Umuahia North Local Government Area. The study employed descriptive survey design .Two research questions guided the study. The target population consisted of 243 teachers and 5,650 students. The sample included 20 teachers and 180 students. The samples were drawn using simple random sampling technique.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the Application of Testing skills among teachers in secondary schools in Cross River Central Senatorial District. Three research questions guided the study. The descriptive survey research design was adopted. The population of the study comprises of public Secondary Schools teachers in Cross River Central Senatorial District. A sample size of 189 teachers was used in a proportion of 10% and 20% of schools was selected using the proportionate stratified sample making a total of 24 schools.
This study was carried out to assess the incidence of breast cancer among females in Ethiope East and Ethiope West L.G.A.s of Delta State. Five research questions were raised and answered. A descriptive survey research design was adopted for the study. The population of the study consists of 265,349 females from Ethiope East and Ethiope West Local Government Areas of Delta State. The sample size of the study was 400 respondents. Data for this study was collected using a questionnaire. A reliability coefficient value of 0.75 was obtained for the questionnaire.

The population of the study comprised twelve thousand two hundred and six (12,206) Senior Secondary School students in Oredo local government area of Edo state. The sample for the study comprised of two hundred and fifty three (253) Senior Secondary School students.
