This study was based on the inter rater reliability of 2021/2022 teaching practice assessment of the student-teachers of the University of Benin. Three research questions and corresponding hypotheses were raised and formulated respectively. It employed the survey research designed with correlation approach. All the 152 supervisors/raters of the 2021/2022 TP exercise which were grouped into76 groups and all the 3269 undergraduate students of 300 and 400 levels who took part in the TP exercise made up the population of the study. The scores from first and second raters of all the 3269 students were arranged in alphabetical order. A sample size of 356 was used. The sample size was obtained using Taro Yamane’s method. Scores of 3269 students were systematically sampled at the interval of 9. The instrument for data collection was a proforma. Data were collected from the university’s TP coordinator for 2021/2022 session following due process. Data obtained were tested using inferential statistics of one sample t-Test and Pearson product moment orrelation statistics. Findings revealed that the students performed to an acceptable level in the scores generated by first and second raters and there was a moderate correlation between the scores generated by the raters. Based on the findings, it was therefore recommended that raters should adhere strictly to the scoring guideline in order to generate scores that will be highly correlated.
